Dr Ron Goldbery

Managing Director

Dr Goldbery has an extensive working knowledge of the Sydney Basin and in particular the Western Blue Mountains. He spent several years with the NSW Geological Survey, Department of Mineral Resources (now the Department of Primary Industries), involved in mapping projects within the area.

More recently, he has established and managed a geotechnical commercial analytical laboratory (Geotech Analytical Services) at Macquarie University.

Dr Goldbery held the position of Managing Director of Queensland Opals N.L., the first totally dedicated Opal mining company to be listed on the ASX. During this period, he engaged in the development and mining of several large scale open cut boulder opal mines in South Western Queensland.

He has been a director of Sydney Construction Materials since the Company's inception in 1994.
